At the age of 7, I believed in Jesus, in what He did for me on the cross. In that same year, I surrendered to the ministry, and I can honestly say that I am living the dream here at CrossRoads. I earned my 3-year Diploma in Biblical Studies at CrossRoads Bible Institute, which greatly helped me deepen my understanding of God’s Word and how to teach it to others. As well, I received my Bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
For several years, I served as Children’s Director at CrossRoads, under the leadership of Pastor Rich, our Christian Education Pastor. On August 2, 2015, I was ordained as the Children’s Pastor here at CrossRoads. Serving in Children’s Ministry with my wife, Kendall Proctor, we believe it is an honor and privilege to serve and train the children of CrossRoads.
Previously, as the Children’s Director and now as Children’s Pastor, my foremost responsibility is to ensure that our teachers are equipped to teach each week. This includes providing curriculum, holding monthly E-Time teacher training sessions, and keeping teachers stocked with all needed supplies. I also spend a good deal of my week writing postcards and making personal phone calls and visits to follow up on children who have visited our ministry or have been repeatedly absent.
I am also working hard to help us at CrossRoads to produce our own in-house children’s curriculum that has intentionality, focusing on the needs of our future generations. My desire is to see children receive teaching that ministers to their spiritual needs, encouraging them in how they best learn in each stage of life. Teaching children God’s Word is my passion and is the goal of our Children’s Ministry as we work together to reach Kids4Christ.
