I was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, by two loving parents. I have two brothers, and one of them (Steve Proctor) led me to the Lord when I was a teenager. I began to grow in Christ as I was mentored by my brother and had a desire to surrender my life to full-time ministry.
I went to Trinity in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1985, after graduating high school. I graduated with a degree in Pastoral Theology in 1989. While there I met my lovely wife, Deniece, and we married in 1987. We are the parents of three boys - Clint, Clayton, and Caleb. My family is precious to me, and an important priority in my life. God has shown me that it is vital that I spend both quality time and a good quantity of time with my family. Our oldest son Clint is now married to a wonderful and godly young lady named Kendall, and they have two boys of their own, Landon and Connor. They met right here in our church. Clint currently serves on our church staff. What a joy it is to serve the Lord with my family!
I took a position here at CrossRoads as an assistant pastor in 1989, and in March of 1994, I was voted in as pastor of CrossRoads. I am humbly grateful that God continues to allow me to pastor this wonderful church family. People are growing and changing as Christ lives His victorious life through us. We desire to be a lighthouse in this community and to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and needy world. Most of the time I am available after each of our services to meet guests. I look forward to meeting you soon!
